When visiting any church, it is helpful when a church will provide a simple and clear statement about the Bible, what it means to them and the role it plays in shaping their faith and life. At St. Luke, we affirm that the Bible is God's living and active Word and we see it as central to all we do as a Church. B.L.E.S.S. is an essential part of our church, it describes how we understand the church to be about "people" more than a place. We practice B.L.E.S.S., which is a simple acronym that means we Begin in Prayer, Listen to another's story, Eat (or grab a coffee) with them, Serve them where there is a need, and Share our story of the Gospel in our lives. In our church on Sunday morning, midweek, as well as in homes, or the local coffee shop, we unite together to be in deeper fellowship with God and one another. God has reconciled us not only to Himself but also to each other.
The Gospel is ultimately about humanity being restored to God’s community. Only through practicing community will individuals grow fully in the grace and knowledge to be found in Jesus. Come and see . . .
